On the auspicious occasion of Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary, the Ministry of Water Resources and Energy extends heartfelt felicitations to His Excellency President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR; Vice President, Kashim Shettima, the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, Her Excellency, the Deputy Governor, Ngo Josephine Piyo, and the Speaker and the Members of the Plateau State House of Assembly.
Your visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to good governance continue to ensure delivery of sustainable water and energy solutions across the State. Indeed, under your guidance, the Ministry has made remarkable progress in enhancing the quality of life of our citizens through impactful projects, including:
– The signing of an MoU with Verde Environmental Nigeria Limited and the groundbreaking of a modern Water Treatment and Supply System at Mado, Tudun Wada, Jos North LGA, now under construction.
– The rehabilitation of 60 powered motorized boreholes and 300 handpumps in Jos North and Jos South LGAs.
– The drilling and installation of 100 handpumps, 20 simple solar systems, and rehabilitation of 230 handpump boreholes across Jos South, Bokkos, Mangu, Langtang North, and Wase LGAs.
– The electrification of Kerang, Chip communities in Mangu and Pankshin LGAs, bringing energy access to underserved areas.
– rehabilitation of electricity facilities and installation of transformers in Gana Ropp and Barkin-Ladi LGA
-Extension of electricity facilities in Kwang Community of Jos South LGA
These initiatives embody our collective vision for a Plateau State, where clean water and reliable energy serve as catalysts for inclusive growth, economic empowerment, and improved public health.
As we celebrate Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary, the Ministry reaffirms its loyalty and unwavering dedication to the realization of a united, peaceful, secure, and prosperous Plateau State and Nigeria at large.
